Kayla Mashburn is a Native American textile designer based in New York City. After completing her bachelor’s degree in Fabric Styling and associates in Textile Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, she entered the apparel industry, specializing in children’s pajamas. While she primarily draws from kids’ artwork like dinosaurs, safari animals, stars and florals, Kayla is excited to develop new prints that reflect her personal style. As an artist, Kayla draws from her cultural background, and is inspired by natural landscapes like natural vegetation, deserts native to her home state of Arizona, organic textures, and warm earthy tones. In addition to designing, Kayla is also a coffee connoisseur, avid thrift shopper, and little league softball coach in the Downtown area of Manhattan.
